I’ve come to view my role in a team like that of a diamond worker. The raw stone represents the early stages of teamwork — rough, unclear, and full of hidden potential. Just as a diamond cutter studies the stone, I study myself and my team. I ask questions like: Where can I improve? How can I contribute more clearly, more helpfully?
